Wines with french soul
To extend the offer of red wines lahofer began importing ingredients from france in 2011. The wine as a semi-finished product is imported from southern france to the Dobšice plant where it is technologically treated. The french series of lahofer wines has its typical label, showing clearly that the wine comes from grapes grown in France.
Recently the LAHOFER Winery has made wines for the French series from the blue varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache, as well as white wines of Viognier or Sauvignon Blanc.
Langue d'oc, one of the forms of mediaeval French, gave the region its name. This is where the beautiful green waters of the Rhône, springing from the glaciers of the Bern Alps, end their pilgrimage in the sea. At the foothills of the Pyrenees, there are many castles on the rock and in the valleys there are towns full of historic monuments - Carcassone, Montpellier or Toulouse. The local weather is favourable to grapevines with sunshine for 250 days of the year on average. And although Languedoc is not known to wine lovers as well as other wine regions of France, one third of all French wines are produced here. They include remarkable and very high-standard wines often sold at favourable prices.
